Compatible mounting bracket
The lock ships ready for direct 'I' surface mounting. For inswing doors you'll need the matching Z/L kit — and it has to be the 1200-series bracket, not the 600.

Installation sequence
- Fold the included template.
- Close the door and position the template against the frame and leaf.
- Drill the holes using the template as your guide.
- Place the set pins into the armature plate.
- Fit the rubber ring between the plate and the door.
- Dismount the 'I' mounting bar to access the body.
- Route the wire through the mounting hole.
- Set the JP1 jumper to match your supply (12V or 24V).
- Wire V+ / V- and the NO/COM/NC status contact.
- Adjust the oppressors with the allen key.
- Close the door and test the hold — fine-tune the plate-to-magnet angle by adding or removing washers.
- At 9.9 lb, confirm the frame and fasteners can carry the lock body — this is roughly double the weight of a 600 lb unit.
- Leave the plate slightly free so it can self-align against the magnet face; a rigidly bolted plate loses holding force.
- Any surface damage or debris on the armature plate reduces the magnetic hold.
- Verify the JP1 jumper position before powering up.
